Surawat (Sam) Promyotin is Director of the Sustainability and Entrepreneurship Center at the Sasin School of Management, Executive Director of Bangkok Venture Club, and former Board Member of the Thai Venture Capital Association. Managing Director of Sprint (DeepTech Accelerator) and Lead Instructor/Mentor for UTC MedVentures (Medtech Incubator)
He has more than 20 years experience as a high-technology executive in both Silicon Valley and Thailand. Along the way, he managed a $100M global semiconductor product line, Co-Founded Groupon Thailand, and won the global Sales Director award at a 27-country MNC.
He has advised, taught, and mentored at startup accelerators such as Sprint, DVA, Spark, KMUTT Hatch, Plug N Play, Topica Founder Institue, DTAC Accelerate, True Incube, and MIST, and in corporate innovation projects at SCG, Toyota, Mitr Phol, Bank of Thailand, Kubota, PTT, TMB, Tesco Lotus, CIMB, and more.
He graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and from Sasin Chulalongkorn Graduate Institute of Business Administration with an Executive MBA.
