Sameer Unhale is a practitioner in Urban affairs dealing with Urban Infrastructure, water and Sanitation, Poverty Alleviation & Smart Urban Governance. He is currently working as the Municipal Commissioner, Nanded Municipal Corporation, India. He previously worked as the Mission Director of the Swaach Maharashtra Mission (Clean India Campaign), State Nodal Officer for the Urban Infrastructure and Governance Submission under JNNURM, Maharashtra, He has also worked with Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority.

He has coordinated efforts with multilateral agencies on Environment projects. He has introduced major revenue enhancement/stabilization of Municipal finance and innovative projects in urban transport and a community-based leadership program in citizen feedback.
