Jovin Hurry
Jovin Hurry has spent the last 15 years studying, living and working in Africa (Mauritius), Asia and Europe in the field of sustainability, business and learning and development. As a strategist, he is enthusiastic at probing entrepreneurs, in life-size simulations, at how they negotiate around core sustainability issues, in their world of turbulent markets, limited resources, social disparities and structural faults.
Jovin has handled a number of projects internationally, mainly as a project manager. Jovin has worked closely with key stakeholders and professionals on best practices for SMEs in Industrial Technologies at the European Commission in Brussels. He has also worked as an analyst at the Youth Business International, then part of the International Business Leaders Forum in London. The Forum is an independent and not-for-profit organisation which is currently supported by over 100 of the world’s leading businesses. He initiated and hosted the Roundtable on Entrepreneurship - Entrepreneur Cafe, Mauritius. Jovin was one of the panellists of Experts for the Business & Research Incubation Centre of the Mauritius Research Council.
Jovin writes and speaks on sustainability, strategy and entrepreneurship in Africa, South-East Asia and the Nordics. He sits in the Board of Advisors of several start-ups and institutions.
