Thai Young Philanthropist Network (TYPN)

Ada Chirapaisarnkul is one of the pioneers in social entrepreneurship and social investment space in Thailand. She is currently the Managing Director of TaejaiDotcom, Head of Social Impact Advisory at ChangeVentures, and Founder and Managing Director of Thai Young Philanthropist Network (TYPN). She is also a Board Director of Khonthai Foundation, Pratthanadee Foundation, NEEDeed Foundation and Thammasat University’s School of Global Studies; and a Committee Member of Oxford Thai Foundation and National Innovation Agency’s Social Innovation Sub-Committee.

Currently, Ada is managing the transition of TaejaiDotcom from a 5-year-old social experiment initiative, formed by a consortium of four founding organizations, into a purpose-driven for-profit enterprise. Concurrently, she has been working with private individuals, families and companies to establish/reshape their philanthropic work in order to significantly improve the positive impact on their stakeholders and Thai society at large in her role as the ChangeVentures Head of Social Impact Advisory.

In her free time, she has been leading TYPN since 2008 - a community of over 2,800 professionals committed to mobilizing their expertise and resources in order to strengthen the civil society in Thailand. TYPN works with partner organizations across sectors to co-create an enabling ecosystem for change agents, pioneering innovative social-sector mechanisms such as skill-based volunteering, crowdfunding, social investment and venture philanthropy in Thailand. TYPN’s partners include the Ministry of Education, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Khonthai Foundation, Mae Fah Luang Foundation ChangeFusion Institute, etc. In 2018, TYPN focuses on recruiting the next generation of social-conscious students and professionals and start chapters outside of Thailand in order to expand the active citizenship base beyond the founding team’s generation and national border; additionally, TYPN continues the Life Hero campaign (http://www.lifeherothailand.com), run through TaejaiDotcom platform, to transform the lives of children from the bottom 10% families in Thailand with education, and all other TYPN activities are aligned towards the same goal. TYPN is also one of the active focal points to convene the next generation philanthropists in East and Southeast Asia to collaborate and work on collective giving in the region.
