Last week, SEED’s commitment to fostering eco-inclusive and climate-smart entrepreneurship took centre stage in Mzuzu, where 26 dedicated Business Development Services (BDS) advisors completed a transformative Training of Trainers programme. Hosted by Emerge Livelihoods, the intensive workshop focused on incubation support, equipping advisors with the skills and tools needed to drive sustainable enterprise development in their communities.
Building on this momentum, SEED’s regional coordinator is finalising the training today with 19 highly motivated advisors in Kasungu. This ongoing capacity-building initiative demonstrates SEED’s dedication to strengthening local expertise and promoting innovative solutions for climate-smart agriculture across Malawi.
The BDS-Training of Trainers provides a dynamic platform for practitioners to familiarise themselves with the SEED Starter Toolkit: “Build your eco-inclusive climate smart agri-enterprise.” Through case study-driven group work, participants enhance their facilitation, mentorship, and coaching skills, preparing them to support emerging entrepreneurs effectively. The programme also fosters collaboration opportunities for delivering project activities across Kasungu and Mzimba Districts.
SEED is proud to support the growth of a vibrant network of BDS advisors, empowering them to champion sustainable development and unlock new possibilities for agri-enterprise in Malawi.
