South Africa, 27 September 2018     The SEED Global Team and Indalo Inclusive South Africa (the hosting partner of SEED in South Africa) are deeply saddened by the passing of distinguished Environmental Affairs Minister, Edna Molewa.

Minister Molewa has been a tremendous pillar who truly believed in Eco-Inclusive Entrepreneurship in the country. It is due to Minister Molewa’s collegial team support that SEED South Africa has grown remarkably since January 2015.

SEED is forever grateful for her steadfast support and staff members Mr Tlou Ramaru and Ms Mapula Tshangela who continue to provide necessary technical support and represent the Department in chairing the SEED Steering Committee.

As SEED South Africa through Indalo Inclusive, we continue our commitment to uphold Minister Molewa’s values and translate her commitments made through various legislation and global platforms by ensuring the promotion and support of Eco-Inclusive Entrepreneurship in South Africa for the benefit of the marginalised and for economic growth anchored on sustainable development principles.

Lala Ngoxolo Mbokodo! As we celebrate the life and achievements of a legendary pioneer – the first female in many of her public service roles – may her family, colleagues and staff find comfort in the knowledge that she played her role in both the struggle for democracy and the fulfilment of the promise for sustainable economic growth and pursuing environmental conservation for ordinary people of South Africa.
