Tivwane works with smallholder farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and individual households to finance their agricultural needs. They offer capacity building and a village credit system suitable to reach the low-income segment population and give them competitive advantages over other existing MFIs in Zambia.

Their main target group comprises women of childbearing age, small-scale farmers, and vulnerable households near or below the poverty line.

Eco-Inclusive Impacts
Access to irrigation equipment and solar pumps will ensure that the farmers can conduct more production rounds instead of relying on rained farming. Tivwane’s services support climate adaptation through increased risk management and resilience-building measures. Tivwane’s operations reduce poverty by improving access to financial services with a focus on empowering women. Additionally, they create employment opportunities and promote the adoption of clean energy through loans, reducing farmers' vulnerability to climate change. The company contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by enabling smallholder farmers to use solar water pumps. Overall, these efforts improve access to financial services for 1,000 small-scale farmers, driving poverty reduction and sustainable development in 2023.
