TALA is a renewable energy provider using biomass crops to offer an alternative energy solution: Biofuel . Energy from biofuel comes from natural resources, who cannot deplete like opuntia inermis, commonly known as the prickly pear cactus. The biodiesel is a green power source that is guaranteed to reduce the current carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions compared to non-renewable sources like fossil fuels.

TALA engages in the use of three basic technologies: Hydrotreating of biocrude to green diesel, biomass to syngas and bulk diesel supply.

Biomass like the prickly pear cactus is abundant and can be used without interruption, next to the characteristic of being greener than fossil fuel. Diversifying and enhancing energy supply, and reducing dependence on imported fuels is the goal of Tala.

Conserving nature natural resources. Going green and beyond.

Eco-inclusive impacts
Positive long-term effects of green energy do not only show impact in ecological considerations.

Social impacts:

  • Planning to create between 2500-5000 jobs  in more than 30 villages around Moruleng, North West/Limpopo South Africa

Environmental Impacts:

  • Saving 1,144,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually in South Africa when replacing 100 MWe of coal-fired power with renewable electricity generated from BioGas
  • Reducing emissions by 106,000 tons per year , when replacing 40 million litres of fossil diesel with Green Diesel

Economic impacts:

  • Diversifying energy supply sources for higher community resilience for economical climate change consequences
  • Enabling sustainable and environmental-friendly growth due to greener energy supply for the region.
