Siyakhana is growing and selling a variety of organic food through innovative methods, materials and ICT systems. Its ago-ecology design is replicable and promotes efficient use of resources while generating income.
Siyakhana offers enriching personal and group team building experiences and environmental awareness through ecotourism, promoting greater understanding and appreciation for agro-ecology, nature, local society and culture.
Solidaridad works in close partnership with Siyakhana regarding planning, implementation, and evaluation of community-based entrepreneurship and agricultural programmes.
The Power, Energy and Environment Technology Station (PEETS) at University of Johannesburg adds value to Siyakhana’s projects by offering expertise on water, energy and food nexus.
