Through a B2B model, Peo Naturals sells phane, lerotse and sorghum products to food processing companies, individuals, restaurants and community enterprises in the phane business. The products are cheaper, highly nutritious, tasty, readily available and eco-friendly compared to other alternative protein options.

Peo Naturals reaches out to their customers through Facebook as the main marketing channel and sells to directly to households through arranged delivery services. The enterprise makes money through sales of phane products with a focus on dried and minced phane.

Partners

Peo Naturals provides cheaper, highly nutritious, tasty & readily available protein products from mopane worm (phane). These value-added products include dried, powdered, minced and skinned phane which are good alternatives to meat as a source of protein. The product supports the reduction of GHG emissions and water usage while reducing mopane worm extinction.

Botswana International University of Science and Technology facilitates research through provision of laboratories, equipment and technical expertise.

 

These Hands supplies the enterprise with equipment, while research and technical services are offered by BIUST among other key partners.
