The Impact Simplifier is an intuitive and transparent web-based tool that calculates, summarises and visualises the positive impact you have for the world. It also generates a brief impact report document of your business, which you can easily share with all your desired target audiences and stakeholders.
Simply by inputting a few numbers about your sales, products, location of your business, and the year for which you can to calculate your impact, you will obtain your social and environmental impact. Backed by thorough research and contextual data and information, it does not only provide you with commonly used indicators -such as amount of greenhouse gas emissions saved, area of forests protected, amount of resources saved, job opportunities generated, among others-, but it also gives you easy-to-grasp- equivalent indicators, that can be easily imagined and dimensioned. For example, how many meals could be cooked, how many hours of searching for firewood can a family save in a year, among many others!
How to use the SEED Impact Simplifier?
The Impact Simplifier is an extremely intuitive, easy-to-use and freely accessible tool. In order to start using it you just need to follow five simple steps:
- Select one of the business models available on the main page of the website
- Provide general data by answering a few simple questions, such as your country of operation and annual turnover
- Provide environmental data specific to the kind of work you do, such as what kind of equipment you provide
- Provide social data, such as information about the number of your employees
- Finally, you may see the impact calculations with the unique information tailored according to the data you provided and selected business model!
