SEED and PAGE Collaborate to Fuel Eco-Inclusive Enterprises in a Green Transition
SEED and the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) would like to announce our collaboration to unite in our efforts in order to amplify the impact of green enterprises. The collaboration on green recovery kicked off in late 2020, beginning with a fruitful discussion on MSMEs and green recovery in the context of a GEC-SEED Policy Roundtable in early 2021. Through this amplification, we aim to promote a green and inclusive recovery from COVID-19 and a greener economy beyond the pandemic.
Our collaboration works to reduce poverty and sustain livelihoods through focusing on MSMEs, creating green jobs and fueling income for vulnerable populations with small green enterprises providing an excellent entryway to these goals. SEED and PAGE’s collaboration will target both global and local levels, focusing on India, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, and Ghana at the country level. Globally, the partnership seeks to amplify impact and visibility for enterprises that work toward a greener and more inclusive economic agenda as well as those that play a role in the green recovery and green economic transition.
Through our work, SEED and PAGE aim to foster conducive environments for finance and policy and to inform policymakers on how they can advance a green economy where MSMEs are supported to thrive and help achieve the SDGs. With a mutual history of supporting enterprises, ecosystem building, and employment, SEED and PAGE are well positioned to expand both reach and impact through this collaboration.
Next steps for the alliance include developing country level connections and additional opportunities for joint outreach, including the SEED awards and PAGE global events.
