First SEED TVET Training of Trainers
Last month, we piloted the first SEED TVET Training of Trainers on Eco-Inclusive and Climate Change Adaptation Entrepreneurship at Linde Hotel in Mponela, Malawi, with representatives from Lilongwe Technical College, Don Bosco Youth Institute, Namitete Technical College, MACOHA Lilongwe Vocational Training Centre, There is Hope, and the Department of Innovation and Creativity.
On day 1, we started with introducing the SEED Enterprise Blueprint & Starter Toolkit, leading to discussions on sustainability in Malawi. The groups dived into customer and target market analyses, using case studies based on former SEED-supported enterprises such as Kibebe & EcoGen.
On day 2, the participants focused on marketing, distribution channels, and expanding networks. Strategies for resilience building were explored, and a reflective session on implementing the toolkit in the colleges wrapped the day up.
On day 3, attendees dove into tools on funding strategies and then facilitated a tool of their choice. During the afternoon, the participants deliberated on their organization's needs to foster a more conducive environment for entrepreneurial students.
SEED is grateful to all the dedicated teachers and educational organisations who made this event a success!
The SEED TVET Programme in Malawi is possible thanks to the support of the Government of Flanders.
