About the Enterprise Advocacy Workshops

Green and social enterprises provide market-based solutions that help to enhance the climate change adaptation and mitigation capacities of their local economy and society. While recognition of these green and social SMEs is on the rise, many of them still face significant barriers to start-up and scale-up their businesses. The solutions to unlocking support for green and social SMEs lies in conducive and accessible collaboration, policy and financing for climate-smart entrepreneurship.

The Enterprise Advocacy Workshops are designed to empower established climate adaptation SMEs to engage effectively with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. It draws on policy advocacy tools to help enterprises meaningfully engage with stakeholders to mobilise support for climate adaptation SMEs and contribute to positive systems change.

Benefits for Participants:

  • Receive expert guidance to understand policy processes and intervention mechanisms;

  • Access tools to raise public awareness about barriers to successful green and social entrepreneurship;

  • Develop skills to deliver information and data to improve local policies; and

  • EUR 500 grant for top 3 advocacy plans submitted to kick-start their advocacy activities

The Workshops will be delivered in the form of 3-day workshops (in-person), and a follow-up check in clinic (virtual) two months after the workshops.
