Meal in One

Promoting edible mushroom production through sustainable household farming
2019 SEED Africa Award Sustainable Agriculture Lilongwe, Malawi

Meal in One is an inclusive, locally driven, social enterprise managing 48 active mushroom household farmers in Dowa district on a total land size of 6 hectares. Meal in One sells the mushrooms to end consumers with a mark-up premium, and 70% of total revenues are shared with the farmers.

The farmers contribute to the purchasing of raw materials for production and the well-wishers support for conducting trainings on mushroom cultivation.
