NATBA essentials trains smallholder farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices and integrate beekeeping into their crop farms. This has the potential to increase pollination services and crop productivity. The manifacture of bee products such as honey and beeswax gives additional income to collaborating farmers.

The demand in national and international marketes for organic products is growing. Costumers with raising awareness for their health and sustainability are offered natural cosmetic products with all organic ingredients. NATBA essentials big range of products includes soaps, hair products and body cream.

Beekeeping for more productive agricultural practices and a rise in awareness for new challenges occurring with climate change.

Social impacts

  • Creating jobs for rural communities, and especially women in the fields of organic cosmetic production and marketing
  • Building capacity and developing new skill for farmers 

Environmental impacts:

  • Planting tree crops and establishing apiaries on crop farms.
  • Promoting pollinator conservation and biodiversity.

Economic impacts:

  • Generating additional income source for farmers in rural communities through higher yield and additional products
  • Boosting the buying power of the community by creating jobs

The National Beekeepers Association help with training farmers in beekeeping and pollination services.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture supports NATBA Essentials with capacity building of rural farmers in sustainable agriculture.
