Scale-Up Lab | SEED Practitioner Labs Policy Prototyping

Pitching policy prototypes to drive sustainable development and climate action

The final phases of the SEED Practitioner Labs Policy Prototyping programme in Malawi will begin with the Scale-Up lab.

Date: 23rd October 2019
Location: Umodzi Park in Lilongwe

Eco-inclusive entrepreneurship is critical to Malawi’s transition to a green, inclusive and climate-smart economy. While private sector development, specifically targeting small- and medium-sized enterprises is a government priority across key sectors in Malawi, these enterprises still face a variety of challenges in their efforts to grow and scale their operations and thereby contribute effectively to this transition.

SEED Practitioner Labs Policy Prototyping engage leading policymakers, donors, and SMME ecosystem stakeholders through a hands-on process to co-create policy instruments that increase access to and improve quality of targeted support mechanisms for socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and climate-smart enterprises.

in text malawi PLPPAs the 4th stage of the labs process, the Scale-Up Lab will focus on pitching the prototypes, building partnerships and defining a roadmap for scale-up.

Participants will be able to:

              • Put the final touch to their policy prototypes with their key partners and develop a roadmap for its implementation.
              • Further fortify their prototype through hands-on pitching training in preparation for pitching it to a wider audience of high-level actors during the National Dialogue Forum.

We’re looking forward to bringing the prototypes to the next stage!
